Welcome to Obscuria Creative personal website of photographer and graphic designer Raeleen Badham
A little about what I do:
Photography is my passion, and the proof is in the work. I had started my professional photography career in 2004, and continue to do a fair a bit of freelance work for various clients throughout Western Canada.
Earlier this past year, I pushed the bar a little bit further and opened up a specialized photography company located here in Calgary called Pop Rocket Studios along with friend and business partner Jennifer Sutton. You should totally check it out!
Being the complete 'photog-aholic' that I am, I'm always up for a new side project, and still continue to make myself available for individual freelance assignments. Feel free to give me a shout anytime!
Being a visual individual, I find that design and photography just naturally go hand in hand. This was the driving force for me to go back to school in 2007 and achieve a diploma in New Media Production and Design - and I couldn't be happier that I did. Not only did this make me a better designer, but opened the door to a whole new world of creative and technical possibilities in multiple areas such as print design, Flash development, and web design. I am also proud to announce that I have also achieved Adobe Certification in Visual Communication using Adobe Photoshop® and Rich Media Communication using Adobe Flash®.
Whether you need help developing a stunning new design to promote your brand, or fresh new way to package it, I can surely help you through the visual hurdles to make your ideas come to life.

For the past year I have been the webmaster at SAIT's Emery Weal, a newspaper published by the SAIT Student Association. I am now proud to announce that theweal.com has been nominated as a finalist by the Associated Collegiate Press for a Pacemaker award!
All those long hours meticulously publishing the news online is finally getting the public recognition it deserves, and I couldn't be prouder!
The ACP Pacemaker award is the association's highest honour recognizing journalistic excellence. This year an online category was included to recieve the award. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic to have my work recognized as a finalist for such an esteemed award.
